A Proposal of Human-Machine Interactive System through Linguistic Instructions Using Fuzzy Classi er System

If systems are capable of understanding natural language, communications between humans and systems will be very e cient. However, natural language are often very vague and/or inaccurate, and it has been very di cult to construct a capable system. This paper presents a system which can understand linguistic instructions given by a human operator and extract the intentions from the linguistic instructions using a Fuzzy Classi er System(FCS). By extracting the intentions, the proposed system can generalize the instructions for di erent conditions. The proposed system is applied to an obstacle avoidance problem. Simulations are done to show that the system can extract intentions, and the extracted rules have generalities.
